...which means all on-board activities are designed with you in mind, and as we have total control over the itineraries we'll make sure you will visit the most interesting destinations and follow the best route! The friendly crew will soon make you feel at home, and it's easy to get to know and socialise with your fellow travellers - oh, and there won't be any language barriers either, as all announcements made in English. The ship offers great on-board facilities, including a brand new state-of-the-art lift, and a relaxing environment, ensuring you enjoy your days of cruising as much as your time ashore.

About the ship

Rex Rheni's amenities include a spacious lounge with large windows from which you can can enjoy the passing scenery. It's also where you'll find the well-stocked bar and where you can help yourself to complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day.

On the deck below the lounge/bar is the restaurant - an example of the mouthwatering meals served here can be found below.

Up top you'll find the partially-shaded sun deck lined with comfortable sun loungers plus a fitness cycle, table tennis and deck quoits.

The cabins are spread over three decks. All are compact, comfortable and air conditioned with a seating area, storage space and twin beds. Facilities in your cabin include a satellite television, telephone, reading lights, wardrobe, and shower room with wc. A safe is available free of charge.

Kick-start the day with a buffet-style breakfast and maybe have 'the full English' to fortify you on excursion days! If you're back on board for lunch this will be a leisurely three-course affair, while dinners stretch to four courses (there's always a choice of main course). As the restaurant is large enough to seat all guests, you'll never be rushed to finish your dessert and make way for the next sitting.

Sometimes there will be special themed dinners, and if you tend to get peckish as the midnight hour approaches, you'll find late-night snacks in the lounge. Keep an eye out for the ship's extra-special chocolate fondant served with cherries as well - it's their signature dish and always gets five stars from guests!

Your time on Rex Rheni will be deliciously relaxed, and you won't have to do anything more taxing than gaze at the passing scenery, read a book and tuck into the wonderful food! The sun deck's the place to be in fair weather, as you'll obviously get the best views from here (you can get ice creams too!), although the picture windows in the lounge and restaurant ensure you don't miss a thing if it is too chilly to sit outside. You won't have to worry about buying too many drinks on board, as you can help yourself to complimentary tea and coffee whenever you like, and you can look forward to wine, beer and soft drinks included at lunch and dinner.

The Saga cruise director will always be mingling with guests and making sure everything's running smoothly. They'll no doubt organise a few impromptu games and quizzes too, for those who wish to join in. After dinner the pace remains just as leisurely. If the ship is berthed, you might like to take a stroll along the river bank - it's very easy to come and go as you please. Or if you're staying on board there might be a pianist playing, perhaps music to dance to, and occasionally local performers are invited on board to put on a show.
